Thursday, February 25, from 15'30h on
Place: IFISC (seminar room "Montse Casas")
The Institute for Cross-Disciplinary and Complex Systems (IFISC, CSIC-UIB) organizes an open doors day for the students of the Balearic Islands University. Students of any grade are invited to assist (mostly lasts years students), especially open-minded youngsters, who have an intellectual and scientific concern. The aim of the visit is to explain what the IFISC is and what means to work on research here, as well as to transmit the interdisciplinary spirit of this Center.
The activity will take place on Thursday, February the 25th, from 15:30 on. The different research lines will be explained likewise the projects that are we currently working on. We will also inform about our Master in Complex Systems and the different ways to get to a doctorate. Visits at the Photonics Laboratory and computing rooms are also included. The talks will be given by IFISC researchers, who will explain their experiences.
This is a very good chance for students to speak directly to doctoral students, share opinions and resolve any doubts.
